than one decade ago it went on the way to become a deserted more
town, a place where no longer of the bell nor barking of the sheepdogs
would be heard. Saved of the inexorable abandonment to which it
seemed to be irremisiblemente led, at the moment it is carrying
out one of most innovating educative experiences.
It is in 1983 when the illusion and the effort of a group of
professors gave rise to the birth of the Cooperative of Education
of the River. A novel and complementary pedagogical alternative.
Once again the tenacity and the faith of which create that the
rural environment still have much to contribute us for the knowledge
of our surroundings, our culture and our traditions and roots
has given its fruit.
The town-school counts on a center of didactic resources, laboratories
of cartography, photograph, of natural sciences, kitchens and
traditional furnace, beehives, orchard, hen house, forge, etnológico
museum..... The activities that are made are among others, courses,
diverse congresses, days and exhibitions, factories, renewable
recycling of materials and energies, simultaneously that have
managed to recover the traditional architecture of the place.
