The
square of the cathedral was the civic center until century XVIII,
when it was carried out the baroque extension. Until then the
Town council was leaned to the cathedral factory, the same as
the jail and the toriles, in front of the block of houses with
soportales that the canons built starting from their secularization
in century XV and that, grass of the flames, were reconstructed
in century XVII by Valdés bishop.
